I run most mornings through Maksimir Park, so I know its paths and the old zoo grounds better than almost anywhere else in the city. On camera I follow the same loop, past the lake and along the perimeter fencing, explaining how the park was laid out as one of the first of its kind in this part of Europe. On planning calls I also help put together a route through the city's other green spaces, since between the parks and the botanical garden there is more greenery here than most visitors expect. I keep things practical and honest about how much walking each option actually involves.
