I have sailed on the Havel lakes around Potsdam since I was a child, and Babelsberg Park is still where I take people first, since the paths follow the water almost the whole way round. On camera I like to keep the pace slow and let the light on the lake do most of the work, especially in the early morning before the rowers are out in force. I am not a trained historian, so I focus more on the landscape and the gardener's design than on dates and names. I keep sessions relaxed and brief, and I am always glad to answer questions about the wider lake chain.
