I have walked the Philosophenweg most evenings since I was a student, and I still time my sessions for the hour when the light turns the Altstadt roofs copper below. On camera I stop wherever the path opens toward the river, because that view explains why professors loved this walk more than any plaque could. In the old town after dark I like showing the carved names inside the oldest taverns, layered by generations of students who sat at the same tables. I keep a warm, unhurried pace through both routes and always leave room for whatever catches your eye first.
