I studied classical archaeology and worked a season on the excavation at Amathus before I ever guided a call. On camera I walk the hillside ruins of this ancient city-kingdom, one of several that once ruled parts of Cyprus independently, explaining what daily life looked like here before Roman rule absorbed it. The site is far less visited than Kourion, and I like showing why that quiet is actually part of its appeal. I answer detailed archaeological questions more happily than almost anything else I guide, since the site rarely gets the attention it deserves.
