Ante Matić

I climb the cathedral bell tower most days I am filming, which still leaves me slightly out of breath before I start talking. My sessions usually begin at the Land Gate, since I think the walls make more sense once you have stood under the gate that everyone historically passed through first. I am not from Zadar originally, but nine years of walking the walls has taught me the city better than most people born here. I keep my camera steady on the stonework and let the height do most of the work once we reach the top. Height and old stone are, frankly, my favourite combination to film.
