Beat Zimmermann

I was a teacher in a village school in Entlebuch for twenty years, then spent another twenty as the manager of a small hotel above Lake Lucerne, which means I have answered every tourist question there is. Now I guide, and I enjoy it more than anything I have done before. Lucerne is small, and the lake with its four arms and the mountains around it, Rigi, Pilatus and Bürgenstock, is the real attraction. I was born in Lucerne, I sing in the choir of the Hofkirche, and I still take the lake steamer to work in summer because I cannot resist it. My Italian comes from ten years of summer holidays in Ticino and a very patient Ticinese wife. I am calm and careful, and I prefer to show people a few things well rather than everything in a hurry. I now guide live on video from Lucerne, with my phone as the camera and time for your questions all the way through.
