Bonaria Pisu

I am named for the basilica that overlooks the port, so guiding sessions there always feels a little personal to me. On camera I show the basilica's position above the harbour and explain why it became an important pilgrimage site for sailors over the centuries. I then usually move down into the Marina district, once the harbourside home of merchants and now full of small restaurants, and point out a few buildings that still carry their original trade signs. I have guided here for five years and like keeping sessions conversational rather than scripted.
