I run most mornings through Golden Cape Forest Park before the day trippers arrive, so I know which paths stay shaded even at midday. On camera I follow the same route past trees planted by an Austrian baron generations ago, explaining why such an unusual mix of species still grows this close to the sea. On calmer evenings I head out toward the lighthouse cape instead, where the open Adriatic replaces the sheltered harbour almost without warning. I keep my calls unhurried and welcome questions about anything growing or moving along the way.
