I grew up in the village beneath Devín Castle, so I have climbed its ruins more times than I can count, in every season and every kind of weather. On camera I hold on the point where the Danube and Morava rivers actually meet, since it marks a border most visitors do not realise they are looking at. I studied archaeology briefly before switching to guiding, and I still mention finds from the site when they are relevant. I keep my pace slow on the climb, since the ruins and the river view both deserve a proper look.
