Deirdre Flaherty

I grew up along the Salthill promenade and swam off the diving tower every summer of my childhood, so that stretch of coast is where I am most at ease on camera. I like showing the bay in different weather, since Galway's light changes constantly and the water looks completely different from one session to the next. Five years of guiding here has taught me to slow the walk right down along the promenade and let the view carry itself rather than talking over it. I always leave plenty of room for questions about the coastline and the bay.
