Domenico Fanizzi

I studied art history in Bari and now spend a lot of time inside the Pinacoteca Metropolitana, where the regional collection runs from medieval altarpieces through to the twentieth century. On camera I try to slow down on one or two pieces rather than rushing past the whole gallery, since a screen makes it hard to take in more than that anyway. Outside, I like stopping at the old column where debtors were once publicly named, a small detail that says more about the old town's history than any grand facade nearby.
