I have run most mornings along Finikoudes since I was a teenager, so I know exactly which stretch of palm trees catches the best light before the beach fills up. On camera I walk the promenade first, explaining how it runs the full length of the town beach, then turn inland along Ermou Street, the old commercial street named for a philosopher born in ancient Kition. I like showing how the town shifts from seafront leisure to everyday shopping within a few short blocks. I keep an easy pace throughout, since both stretches reward unhurried walking rather than a rushed pass.
