I rowed competitively on Lake Geneva for years, so the stretch of water around the Jet d'Eau is the one I know at every hour of the day. On camera I like catching the fountain from the promenade just as the wind carries its spray sideways, then moving along to the flower clock while the light is still soft. I trained briefly in horticulture, so I notice the clock's bedding plants change through the seasons more than most visitors do. I keep my sessions close to the water, since Geneva's whole identity sits right there on the lakefront. I answer questions about the lake as readily as the fountain itself.
