About this tour
This session follows Geneva's lakefront from the Jet d'Eau to the promenade running beside it. You see the fountain's spray up close and the open lake beyond it, with sailboats crossing in the background on a clear day. Émilie, a former competitive rower, explains the lake itself as much as the landmark built beside it.
She times the fountain stop for when the wind carries the spray sideways, giving it a fuller shape on camera. She then walks the promenade at an easy pace, answering questions about the lake throughout.
This suits a first session for anyone new to Geneva's waterfront. It also works well at different times of day, since the fountain and the light both change.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
