I trained as a stonemason before moving into guiding, so old walls and fortifications are where I slow down most. Elizabeth Fort and the gaol are both places where the stonework tells its own story, and I point the camera at the details a quick visit would miss, tool marks, repairs, the way a wall was built to be seen from below. I have guided on video for five years and I like short, focused sessions over long rambling ones. I answer questions as they land rather than waiting, and I follow up afterwards with sources for anyone who wants the fuller record.
