Erik Halvorsen

I grew up a short walk from Akershus Fortress and used to sneak into the grounds after school before I understood any of its history. Now I take a phone round the ramparts and the old cannon positions, pointing out where the walls have been rebuilt after each siege over seven centuries. I also spend time at the Norsk Folkemuseum's open-air buildings, since the stave church there tells a longer story than the fortress does. On camera I try to slow down at each detail rather than rushing between buildings, since a screen loses depth your own eyes would catch.
