I trained as an art historian and spent several years cataloguing furniture inside the Neues Palais, so I still notice details in the stucco and ceilings that most visitors walk straight past. My sessions usually start at the palace's grand facade and move slowly along the park paths toward the smaller garden buildings, since the whole site rewards a wander rather than a fixed route. I like a fairly formal pace with plenty of context on each room, though I always leave space for questions to change direction. Video suits large interiors well, since the camera can hold still on a ceiling far longer than a group tour ever could.
