About Giorgi

I grew up hiking the ridge above Mtskheta long before Zedazeni Monastery meant anything to me beyond a good spot to stop. Now I climb the same forest track with my phone on a small tripod, checking the signal now and then since it drops under the trees. I studied the Armazi excavations at university, so standing among the fortress foundations on Bagineti hill I can point at a stone and tell you what stood there two thousand years ago. On camera I keep the history concrete rather than a list of dates, and I leave time at the end for whatever question the ruins raised.

    Great tour, small hiccups

Very good overall. The route was lovely, a little more time at the last stop would have been perfect.

How reviews work

Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
