My grandfather kept a stall in Modiano Market for over forty years, so the covered halls there still smell of the same spices and cured fish they always did to me. On camera I walk the stalls slowly since the market reopened after its long restoration, pointing out which traders have worked here across generations. I also cover Kapani Market nearby, busiest at first light before the wider city wakes up. I keep sessions relaxed and chatty, and I enjoy explaining the produce and the traders as much as any history behind the buildings themselves.
