I studied 20th-century history in Reykjavik and worked for years as a researcher before moving into guiding, so the political history around Höfði House and Alþingi is where my sessions are strongest. On camera I like resting on a building's exterior long enough for its scale to register before I explain the events tied to it, rather than rushing between sights. Seven years of guiding on video has taught me to plan a session around one clear historical thread rather than trying to cover the whole city. I always answer questions properly as they come, since that is usually where a session actually gets interesting.
