I studied ethnography before becoming a guide, and the triple spiral staircase inside the Museo do Pobo Galego is still the architectural detail I most want to show properly on camera, since photographs never quite capture how it works. My sessions move between the museum, a former convent, and the Renaissance courtyard of the old university building nearby. I explain how Galician rural life and Santiago's university history sit closer together than people expect. I find that a steady camera on a staircase or a courtyard says more than I could describe in words alone.
