Ignacio Cortés Lara

I grew up in Sacromonte, in one of the cave houses that still line the hillside, so I explain the quarter from the street rather than from a stage built for visitors. On camera I walk past the cave entrances, pointing out which ones are still lived in and which now host flamenco evenings, without stepping into any paid show myself. At night the sound carries differently along the hillside, and I try to catch that from a respectful distance. I keep my calls honest about what is a real home and what is a business.
