Ildikó Balogh

I grew up on Alžbetina street, behind the busier Hlavná ulica, so the Secession facades there feel like home rather than a sight to visit. On camera I stay close to the ironwork balconies and stained glass most visitors miss on the main square. I also studied theatre design, which is why I linger on the State Theatre square and explain its stage history rather than only its facade. I speak Hungarian as well as Slovak, since our family belongs to the minority community here, and I bring that history into sessions when it is relevant.
