Isla Robertson

I grew up in Perth, studied architectural history at the University of Edinburgh, and spent four years as a research assistant at the National Galleries, cataloguing Scottish portraits and helping with exhibition labels. I have lived in Stockbridge since my student days, and the Georgian New Town is where I feel most at home: the wide streets, the private gardens, the stone that turns gold in the evening. It is the half of Edinburgh most visitors walk through on the way to the castle without looking up. I speak English and German, the second from a year in Leipzig. My walks are measured and well researched, and I enjoy questions, especially the ones I cannot answer straight away, which I look up and send to you afterwards. Now I show Edinburgh live on a video call, phone in hand, and I answer questions as they come.
