I climb up to the fortress most evenings to catch the light over the harbour before it fades, so that walk is second nature to me by now. On camera I usually pair it with a trip across the island to the Stari Grad Plain, an old field system still farmed the same way it was laid out thousands of years ago. Nine years of guiding here has taught me how differently the same island reads depending on whether you are standing on a hilltop or walking flat, ancient farmland. I keep the pace steady and let questions guide how long we spend at either stop.
