I have worked mornings at Santa Catalina market since I was nineteen, first unloading crates for my uncle's fish stall and now just visiting as a regular. I know which vendor sells the best sobrassada and which one will let you smell the saffron before you buy it. On camera I like to walk the same round I do every week, stopping to talk with the people behind the counters rather than at them. Evenings I show a different side of the same neighbourhood, once the market closes and the bars along the same streets fill up instead.
