Santa Catalina after dark
Highlights
- A street filling with evening tables
- An owner's pick from small producers
- The square after the crowds thin
- Same streets, a different hour
- A neighbourhood locals still claim
About this tour
This session follows Santa Catalina as it changes from a market neighbourhood into a nightlife strip. You see the bar-lined street of Carrer de Sant Magí, a corner wine shop, and the quieter square where locals gather later on. It is the same neighbourhood as the market tour, shown at a completely different hour.
We move slowly between stops so you can see the terraces filling up and hear the change in noise as the evening goes on. I check in with you between stops to see what you want more of, food, wine, or just atmosphere. The call usually runs a little looser than my daytime ones.
This suits evening viewers curious about how a Mallorcan neighbourhood actually spends a weeknight. It also works well paired with the market tour for a full picture of the same streets.
Included
- Live video walk with a local guide
- Questions to your guide all the way
- A short list of places to visit later
Not included
- Internet connection

Itinerary
-
Welcome and sound check 7 min
The guide joins the video call, checks the picture and sound with you, and gives you a quick sense of Palma de Mallorca before heading out.
-
Carrer de Sant Magí 21 min
The street fills with tables spilling out from small bars as the evening starts. I point out which spots are old fishermen's haunts and which opened in the last few years for a younger crowd.
-
A corner wine bar 21 min
You see shelves stacked with bottles from small producers around the island. I ask the owner to talk through one he thinks is underrated, the kind of bottle you would not find in a supermarket.
-
Plaça de la Navegació 21 min
The square settles into a slower rhythm later in the evening, with locals gathering more than visitors. I describe how the neighbourhood looked before the terraces open tonight, at least by what older residents tell me.
-
Your questions 14 min
Time to ask anything about Palma de Mallorca: prices, safety, food, or whatever you are curious about.
-
A short list to keep 6 min
Before you go, the guide sums up with a few things worth remembering: a dish to try: Tumbet and Santa Catalina, worth a slower look.
Good to know
- A stable wifi or mobile connection makes the picture smoother than a shaky one.
- Any phone, tablet or laptop with a camera works. You watch, the guide does the walking.
- Times are shown in Madrid time, so check the time where you are before you book.
- The session is not recorded, and recording it yourself is not allowed. Feel free to take your own notes.
- Ask questions any time, out loud or in the chat. The guide will pause to answer.
- Sessions run in small groups, up to 9 people, so there is room for everyone to ask something.
Questions about this tour
What will the session cover?
The guide walks through Palma de Mallorca, showing you Carrer de Sant Magí and A corner wine bar live on camera, plus whatever else you would like to see.
What happens if my connection drops?
Rejoin with the same link within a few minutes and the guide will catch you up on anything you missed.
Can I ask the guide questions during the session, or is it a fixed script?
Anything, any time. Sessions leave room for your own questions throughout, not just at the end.
Is this suitable if I do not drink?
Yes. Say so when you book and the guide will focus on the atmosphere and venues rather than the drinks list.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
