I have spent twelve years explaining wine to strangers, first behind a counter and now through a screen instead. What changed is not the subject, it is the pace: on a call I slow down and let people see a label properly before I talk about it, rather than rushing them past a shelf. I keep a map of the wine regions taped above my desk and point the camera at it more than at myself. My favourite moment is when someone asks a question I did not expect and I have to think on the spot.
