I trained as an archaeologist and worked on excavations around Ostrów Tumski before I became a guide, so the cathedral and the island around it are where I feel most at home on a call. On camera I like showing the older layers found beneath the current cathedral, since most visitors have no idea the site goes back further than the building itself. Crossing onto the island afterwards, I slow the pace right down, since it feels like a different city from the busy square nearby. I keep my sessions grounded in what has actually been found rather than legend.
