Katerina Voulgari

I was baptised in the Church of Saint Spyridon, so the building has always meant more to me than most stops on a typical route through town. On camera I explain how the island's patron saint came to be honoured here and how the relics are paraded through the streets on set feast days each year. I also walk Campiello's narrow lanes nearby, where I grew up hearing which houses belonged to which old Venetian families. I keep sessions warm and personal, and I enjoy sharing details that come from actually living among these streets.
