I grew up swimming at the Tiergarten's dolphin lagoon on school trips, so guiding there now still feels a little like showing people my own childhood. On camera I explain how the zoo was carved directly into a former quarry, with rock faces still visible behind several enclosures. My second session follows the Henkersteg, a covered wooden footbridge once used by the city executioner, crossing to a small island on the Pegnitz. I keep a relaxed, friendly pace and enjoy sharing small local details most guides skip over.
