My family has a plot at Mirogoj, so I have walked its arcades more times than any other place in the city. On camera I move slowly along the covered walkways and the central dome, explaining how one architect shaped almost the entire cemetery over decades of work. I also show the courtyard of the Museum of Broken Relationships from outside, since the objects donated there and the stories behind them say more about the city than most conventional landmarks. I keep my calls quiet and unhurried, since both places reward a slower pace than most tours allow.
