Magnus Fjeldstad

I worked construction on buildings along the fjord for years, though not the Opera House itself, so I have always paid attention to how Oslo's newer architecture sits against the water. My sessions climb the sloped marble roof of the Opera House first, then move along to Tjuvholmen, where the waterfront sculpture park and the sail-like museum roof make a good second stop. I talk mostly about materials and shape rather than dates, since that is what I actually know. On camera I like wide, steady shots that let a building's outline speak before I say anything about it.
