I have led hiking and history trips out to Kolossi and Kourion for close to a decade, so I know which hours give the clearest light on both sites. On camera I walk the exterior of Kolossi Castle first, explaining its time under the Knights Hospitaller and its connection to sugar production centuries ago, then move to Kourion's restored ancient theatre, still used for performances today. I explain how a clifftop city came to be abandoned after a severe earthquake in antiquity. I like giving both sites proper time rather than rushing between them in one short call.
