I climb the stairs of Clérigos Tower far more often than any tourist would, mostly to check the light before deciding when to film. On camera I hold the view from the top steady for longer than feels natural, since the rooftops of Porto reward a proper look rather than a quick pan. I follow this with a walk down Avenida dos Aliados, explaining how the wide boulevard reshaped the modern city centre in the early 20th century. I keep the phone level throughout rather than tilting for effect. I answer questions about both stops honestly, including when the queue for the tower is genuinely not worth it.
