Mathieu Gasquet

Art and architecture pulled me into guiding, and I split most of my sessions between the Opéra Comédie, Antigone's postmodern streets and the courtyard of Musée Fabre. On camera I try to explain why a building looks the way it does rather than only naming its style, since a neoclassical facade built in the 1980s makes more sense once you know the thinking behind it. I studied architecture before I ever picked up a phone to guide with, and I still check a date against a written source before saying it aloud. I speak French and English and answer questions as they come.
