Michalis Ioannou

I was baptised in the Church of Saint Lazarus and have attended services there my whole life, so its saint's day procession is one of my earliest memories. On camera I walk the church interior first, since filming is normal there, explaining how the building is said to hold the tomb of Lazarus after he came to Cyprus following his resurrection. I then continue to the nearby fort by the sea, describing how it moved from Ottoman defence to prison before becoming the small museum it is today. I keep my voice low whenever a service is underway, filming around it rather than through it.
