Nathaniel Attard

I studied architecture and became interested in Valletta's fortifications long before I started guiding for a living. On camera I like walking the full stretch of the Baroque walls that encircle the peninsula, since the scale only really comes across when you see how far they run. I usually continue onto Republic Street, the city's main pedestrian spine, pointing out balconies and shopfronts along the way. I have guided here for four years and prefer showing the whole shape of the city rather than only its best-known single sites.
