I trained as a tour guide but my real interest is the Art Nouveau facades most visitors walk past on their way to the canal. On camera I hold the shot steady on the tiled fronts long enough for the detail to register, since a quick pass loses what makes them worth seeing. I pair that with the cathedral and the old convent, since Aveiro's history runs from medieval stone to early 20th-century tile within a few streets. I speak plainly about dates and styles rather than dramatising them, and I welcome a correction if I get a fact wrong. Aveiro rewards a slower look than most people give it.
