I grew up two streets from Limassol Castle and heard the story of the royal wedding said to have taken place here long before I understood which king and queen were involved. On camera I walk the castle's exterior walls first, explaining how the building shifted between defensive fort and prison over different centuries, then continue along the old harbour where fishing boats still tie up nearby. I like showing how a single building can carry so many unrelated uses across its history. I keep my calls unhurried near the walls, since the stonework rewards a slower look than most visitors give it.
