Pedro Botelho

I spent years working the tourist buses out to Furnas before I started guiding on my own, and the fumaroles where cozido cooks underground still make me stop and explain the smell before anything else. My video sessions move between the steaming ground and the covered market back in Ponta Delgada, since I think food here only makes sense once you have seen where the heat comes from. I speak Spanish as well as English, which comes in handy more often than you would think. On camera I try to show the geology first and the plate second, since the volcano did the interesting part.
