Petar Angelovski

I grew up on the hill above Ohrid's old town, close enough to the fortress walls that I played inside them before anyone charged an entrance fee. On camera I like tracing the hilltop's three layers, from the fortress down through the ancient theatre to the archaeological site further along, since most visitors only see one of the three. My other sessions look more closely at art, pairing the cathedral's frescoes with the carved ceilings in an old merchant's house, and at the lake from a proper viewpoint. I studied archaeology, and I try to explain each layer of this hill as clearly and honestly as the evidence allows.
