I grew up a short walk from the Hofvijver, and I still think the government buildings reflected in that pond make one of the calmest views in the country on a still morning. My sessions usually start at the Binnenhof, since most viewers do not expect a working parliament to sit inside a medieval castle, then move out towards the coast so people see both the political city and the seaside one in a single call. I like to hold the camera steady on small details, the carved stonework on the Ridderzaal, the gulls circling the pier, rather than rushing past them toward the next stop.
