Sara Öhman

I moved to Södermalm two years ago for university and still treat Mariatorget as the square I cross most days between classes and home. On camera I walk the square and the streets branching off it, explaining what actually changed here as the district shifted from working class to one of the city's more sought-after areas. I am studying sociology, which shapes how I talk about a neighbourhood rather than just its buildings. I keep the tone casual and informal, closer to how I would describe it to a new friend visiting.
