I have played fiddle in Galway's pub sessions for over a decade, so the traditional music scene around Quay Street is where I am most useful on camera and where I am most useful on a call. I like explaining how a session actually works, who leads a tune, how musicians read each other, rather than just filming the noise of a busy street. Six years of guiding has taught me to keep sessions focused on one thread of the music scene at a time. I answer every question properly, since most people asking have never actually seen how a session comes together.
