Sigrún Jónsdóttir

I was born in Reykjavík but grew up on a sheep farm in the south, near Hella, where my brother still keeps sheep and horses. I studied geology at the University of Iceland and worked for some years at the Met Office, watching volcanoes and earthquakes, before I became a licensed guide in 2010. So when I tell you why the ground is steaming, I have measured it. I speak Icelandic, English and Danish. These days you can join me from anywhere: I walk Reykjavik live with my phone and answer questions on the spot.
