Silje Tveit

I take the cable car up Ulriken most weeks regardless of whether I am guiding, since it is still the clearest way to understand how the seven mountains actually sit around the city. My main session rides to the top and films the ridge walking path with the whole of Bergen laid out below. A second, quieter session stays low, through Skuteviken's old wooden houses along the harbour north of Bryggen, a district most visitors never reach. I like moving between the two, since one shows the city from above and the other shows it from inside its oldest surviving streets.
