Silvia Ricci

Quartiere Coppedè is the strangest corner of Rome I know, and I like filming it slowly, since the mix of styles crammed into a few streets rewards a close look far more than a quick pass through. At EUR I focus on the district's Fascist-era architecture straight on, without irony or apology, since I think the buildings are worth understanding on their own terms as a specific moment in the city's history. Both places get far less attention than the historic centre, which is exactly why I chose to specialise in them.
