I grew up skiing the trails around Holmenkollen and still think the ski jump tower is the clearest way to explain Oslo's relationship with winter sport. My main session films the tower and the view back across the city and the fjord from its base. A shorter call covers Sognsvann, the lake at the end of the metro line, where I talk through the walking loop around it before anyone sets off on their own. I try to keep both sessions outdoors and unhurried, since Oslo's forests are close enough to the centre that they deserve more than a rushed mention.
