The Cathedral Quarter is where I spend most of my evenings anyway, so guiding there feels less like a job and more like showing people round my usual haunts. On camera I like to hold on the older pub fronts, since a lot of the area's character comes from details most people walk past without noticing. I worked in one of the quarter's bars for years before training as a guide, so I know the area's history from behind the counter as well as in front of it. I keep sessions conversational rather than scripted, and I always leave room for questions.
